Our Services

Let us give you a brief overview of The DEA process. We can service all types of properties – residential, lifestyle, rural, apartments, units and retirement village homes. Within those types of properties we cover all manner of structures from garages to barns, sheds to storage lockers and everything in between. We also service any and all levels of Hoarding whether it is a deceased estate or a legal situation. Please do not be embarrassed about the state of any and all buildings and their contents on your property – we’ve seen it all before. No judgement, just discretion, sensitivity and respect. We are here to help.


There are 3 main steps to our process.


1) EMPTY BY REMOVAL OF CHATTELS:

After the family have removed any sentimental or inherited items from the house and property, The DEA then assign all remaining chattels, furniture, personal belongings and refuse to 3 sub-categories: SELL, DONATE or DISPOSE.

SELL:  At The DEA we do our utmost to sell all remaining saleable items such as furniture, TV’s, books, art, coins, watches and jewellery. We have vast experience as to what items are saleable and we aim to do our very best to return maximum proceeds back to the estate. The DEA documents those chattels / items that we sell on your behalf for both your records and ours.

DONATE:  Our experienced eye also assigns items of little to no value into the category for donating. Items such as pens, pads, clean clothing and shoes, old kitchenware and electronics etc are best donated to the local charity shop. All items that can be donated, we donate, as we prioritise recycling usable items as opposed to sending them to the refuse tip. The DEA documents those chattels / items that we donate on your behalf for both your records and ours. We also donate any remaining unopened foodstuffs to food banks, as we are big believers in giving back and minimising wastage.

DISPOSE:  Unfortunately, there will always be items that cannot be sold or donated and therefore The DEA assigns such items to the disposal category. Items like stained clothing, broken furniture, broken toys, opened foodstuffs, old toiletries and actual rubbish itself are all disposed of into a skip bin or the local transfer station.


2) HOUSE INTERIOR CLEANING:

We highly recommend utilising all of our services to achieve the best possible presentation of your Estate and Property to get it ready for listing on the market or renting. Our interior cleaning is literally top-to-bottom and everything in between using the best cleaning products and commercial grade equipment. We leave no surfaces untouched and our attention to detail is outstanding. We are well practiced in what will achieve optimum results. Having said that, if our client only wishes for a light clean as their option, we are always more than happy to customise any and all requests to suit.


3) HOUSE EXTERIOR CLEANING & GARDEN WORK:

Again, whilst we highly recommend utilising all of our services to achieve a higher market price for your property, exterior and garden work is optional. Our exterior cleaning and garden work is often hugely transformational and the first visual impression that a real estate agent has when valuing the property for sale. We have a multitude of tools, equipment and the know how to do the lawn mowing, weeding, water blasting, DIY tasks, windows, general tidying, removal of rubbish and most anything yard related – simply chat with us about your specific requirements during the on-site quoting process.


THE DEA ALSO OFFER THE FOLLOWING SERVICES:


VEHICLE DISPOSAL:  

We sell on your behalf or dispose of any non-working vehicles for the estate.

PET RE-HOMING:  

Sadly, if there is no immediate family for a beloved pet, we will find a loving family or a wonderful SPCA to adopt him/her.

DECLUTTERING

We remove and dispose of items that you no longer want, clean the room(s) if required and give you some more space back for your next project!

HOUSE PREPARATION FOR SALE OR RENT:   

Perhaps you’ve already emptied the house but would prefer that the professionals clean and prepare it ready for the market? Call The DEA!

RETIREMENT VILLAGE/REST HOME RELOCATIONS:

Whether you are downsizing and/or relocating, The DEA will sell, donate and dispose of furniture and no longer required items. The remaining furniture and possessions we move into the client’s new retirement village or rest home. We can then also take care of the cleaning and preparation of the client’s previous home, getting it ready for sale, rent or the next occupants.
